Creating optimal solutions for health care providers and encouraging mothers as they navigate through their parenting journey.
Kristen Quinn is currently an account manager and certified lactation counselor (CLC) in the mom and baby division of Acelleron. She joined the company in 2014 as an assistant director to help cultivate Acelleron’s footprint throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. With over a decade of experience in the health care industry, Kristen manages operations for our southernmost office location to serve the Pennsylvania and New Jersey region.
As part of the Acelleron team, Kristen has been developing innovative solutions and resources for clinicians, hospitals, health systems, ob/gyn practices, and lactation professionals. At a state level, she supports local WIC agencies, health insurance companies, and the Department of Health.
Kristen became a CLC in 2015 and earned her certification through the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice. She remains a dedicated advocate for mothers and is committed to educating families so that they are empowered to achieve the most beneficial outcome in their breastfeeding journey.
Additionally, Kristen is active in the breastfeeding community. She serves as a member of the Pennsylvania Breastfeeding Coalition, the Pennsylvania Resource Organization for Lactation Consultants, and the Pennsylvania Association of Medical Suppliers. She also partners with Mothers’ Milk Bank Northeast by managing a collection site for donors that choose to generously donate their milk to NICU babies throughout the nation.
Prior to joining Acelleron, Kristen worked for our parent company, Preferred Home Health Care & Nursing Services. She devoted several years to coordinating greatly needed services for infants, children, and adults. What Kristen treasured most about working in home care was having the opportunity to offer compassion and ancillary support to families as their loved ones received around-the-clock care.
Kristen was born and raised in Philadelphia, where she attended Holy Family University and married the love of her life. She is an incredibly proud mother of a little boy and considers being a mom the most significant role that she has ever had.
Kristen has a clinical background and formerly worked in the surgical field. She assisted surgeons in the operating room and has experience in plastic surgery, corrective laser eye procedures, and vein surgery. Kristen was registered by the Board of American Medical Technologists and, as an allied health professional, she has been certified in phlebotomy, pharmacology, EKG, and basic life support CPR.
