The Great Place to Pump Award is an annual designation recognizing breastfeeding and pumping-friendly workplaces based on the successful establishment of policies, education, support, and accommodations for breastfeeding employees. Breastfeeding in the Workplace
Better for Baby
Breastfeeding lowers the risk of ear infections, respiratory infections, dermatitis, gastrointestinal disorders, asthma, obesity, and Type 1 and 2 Diabetes.
Better for Mom
Essential part of the overall reproductive cycle, resulting in faster recovery from pregnancy! Lowers the risk of weight gain, postpartum depression, cancer, Type 2 Diabetes, and Osteoporosis.
Better for Business
Employer lactation support programs lead to decreased absenteeism, turnover rates, and employer health care costs while increasing employee loyalty, productivity, and retention.
According to Acelleron's Return To Work Survey...
Less than 50% of employers have a lactation room for breastfeeding employees to pump in, yet 90% of moms plan to pump when they return to work!
