Cheryl Fillmore is currently the director of revenue cycle of Acelleron. Cheryl joined Acelleron in 2014 after working at another Home Medical Equipment (HME) company for four years. Her past experiences as director of finance for the National Kidney Foundation (MA, NH, VT and RI), staff accountant for Children’s Hospital, and various other financial roles has given her years of experience managing people and processes.
She joined Acelleron in 2014 where she quarterbacked and developed new standards for the billing department and was quickly promoted to director of revenue cycle management in 2016. She is passionate about helping customers understand their insurance and become better advocates for their own services.
Cheryl is one of seven children whose parents were entrepreneurs. She was privileged to always be part of the many family projects and businesses from construction to mining 900 acres. She learned at an early age to work hard, with passion, and love what you do.
Her childhood ambitions were to work in health care. Through actual work experiences, she realized that she also enjoyed the financial aspects of the business, and this is where her ambitions and experiences became her career.
Cheryl owned her own small business in the late 80’s, however, gave this up when she became the mother of two boys. In her down time, she enjoys landscape design, working in her gardens, and spending time with her now adult sons.
